Roddiscraft
Milwaukee, WI
Autodesk's AutoCAD® was used to convert metric drawings to foot-inch units creating a library comprised of dozens of wood window and door details and multiple sets of shop drawings for architects specifying Roddiscraft products for luxury residential, historic renovation, and commercial projects.
On-site Construction Management of staff and building contractors was often required; the most memorable event being the Chicago Zoo Vistor's Center project when masonry contractors failed to read my shop drawings correctly and constructed all of the building's fenestration openings incorrectly.
Mr. Roddis and I were compelled to appear on-site to successfully oppose the general contractor's misinformed insistance that we take responsibility to pay for the reconstruction of the building's masonry fenestration openings by showing and proving to the general contractor the correct dimensions were in fact clearly indicated on my architectural shop drawings misread by the general contractor's masonry subcontractor. Wooha!

Ultimate Truck
Greenfield, WI
Utilizing my Search Engine Optimization (SEO) expertise this project remained listed by Google for nearly three years as the very first item following paid advertising at the top of the very first SERP (Search Engine Results Page.) The web server logs consistently showed the store locations and hours of operation pages were loaded more frequently than any other page on the site. Now that's what those really in the know call SEO success!
Despite success, this client acquiesced to the ridicule of golf buddies whom I was told criticized the website claiming it lacked 'pizazz.' The client did not take my advice to leave well enough alone as success spoke for itself and turned to others who converted the website into a dog-ugly collection of links.

METROmilwaukee
Southeastern Wisconsin
Regional Community Portal was the first community portal in all of Southeastern Wisconsin registered and first launched August 1997.
METROmilwaukee failed to gain community and commercial support as a portal and as a business; attempts by politicians and private sector competitors voiced their resentment of my initiative to cleverly register a domain name using a term everybody in local media used when referring to our region. My efforts led to attempts to literally steal the domain name which was constantly subjected to hacking attacks which local law enforcement (at the time) claimed they could do nothing about.
For many, many, many decades Milwaukee has --never-- been known as a small business startup friendly city. Literally becoming a national laughing stock in national publications finally ~2010 startup support groups and business initiatives began to appear which is good for the younger folks now coming up.
An attempt to pivot the business and become a provider of the following software services also failed; thus not "knowing the right people", lack of funding and an apathetic population proves the early bird does not always get the worm; at least not in Milwaukee.
- METROtweet "Kill Two Birds With One Stone" discontinued Twitter software service.
- METROfeed(Inactive) XML text editor software service for publishing RSS Web Feeds.
The metromilwaukee.com domain is kept active and redirects to --this website-- just to frustrate every arrogant bastard in Milwaukee that tried to wrest it away.
